The Dramatist's Guild of the Larp Alliance
Welcome to the Dramatist's Guild. We are a Larp Alliance resource for new and experienced LARPers. We focus on improving the player's role play and acting ability by offering training (ie: classes, demos, etc), and assisting with their application of these skills and techniques in game.
Guild Focus (Instruction & Application) Overview
The Dramatist's Guild focuses on teaching and improving skills that can be applied to every day and game encounters and scenarios. Every Chapter is ran by individuals who may be interested in more than one game, genre/setting, and/or fighting style. This guild assists in helping a player immerse themselves and their characters in the storylines and become more confident in their decisions when faced with conflicts and paths. The guild begins by teaching the basic skills of understanding a character, sensing and reacting as the character, and finally becoming the character. Classes continue on from this point to teach a player various tricks and tips for specific scenarios and how to include others in their mind's world while in-game, thus making the game more fullfilling and immersive for every player including themselves.
How do I get involved with the Dramatist's Guild?
Involvement with the Dramatist's Guild is easy and free. The purpose of the Dramatist's Guild is to get people involved in and comfortable with LARP. In order to become involved, you can contact one of our existing Chapters (ie: to volunteer, assist in leadership, join a class, etc), or you can contact us if you are interested in creating a brand new Chapter in your area.
